The Rector of Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic (AAPOLY), Dr. Onasanya Agbolade has reiterated his commitment to revamping the dilapidated toilets and other classroom structures in his recent visit to Abusi Edumare, the annex campus of the polytechnic.
Dr. Onasanya who visited Abusi in the company of the Mass Communication Head of the Department, Ogunariwo Oluwatosin, and other top staff within the department of Mass Communication established his commitment to making Abusi structures comfortable for students.
UCJAAPOLY gathered that the toilets have been abandoned for years leading students to resort to urinating in bushes. A situation that poses a threat to students' health due to the lack of proper facilities. However, the rector’s commitment to this development has been a game-changer and described by the Association Of Student Communicators (ASCOM) president, John Ohwonigho, as an act to foster a conducive and progressive atmosphere for learning.
According to John, this development is a testament to the good vision of the Rector and also shapes a more enriching experience for the entire academic community
“It's truly inspiring to witness the tangible impact of the rector's commitment to enhancing our academic environment. These developments not only elevate the physical aspects of our campus but also reflect the dedication to fostering a conducive and progressive atmosphere for learning and growth" he said.
The Rector who has visited Abusi since his inception into office in August has been able to inspect the campus environment with a major step taken to ensure the toilets are ready for use.
UCJAAPOLY have observed that port holes within the campus have been filled up, while the drainages have been cleared, an effort taken to enhance easy channel of water during downpour.
Dr. Onasanya during this visit also promised to provide a new generator to the department of Mass Communication.
