The Governing Council, recently appointed by the Ogun State Government, visited the Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic today. The meeting aimed at familiarizing the Council with the Management held in one of the Polytechnic’s TETFUND Buildings with members of the council, staff and the Student Union Executives  in attendance.

The Chairman of the Governing Council, who is also a former Deputy Governor of the State, Alhaja Salmat Badru noted that the presence of the Council members was to communicate their support and encourage partnership that would develop the institution. She noted that the Council was ready to give access to the Student-Leadership in order to solve raging issues.

In her welcome address, Alhaja Badru said “This school was created when I was the Deputy Governor of the State, so I can say that I am part of the institution in a huge way. It has been 10 years since the school had a Governing Council so we know how much development can come in through our intervention. We are here to work with you to move the school forward and we need your support to achieve this.”

While entertaining responses from the Staff of the Polytechnic, the Governing Council was notified of the need to bring back TETFUND, and also help in Staff development across the board.

In her closing address, the Acting Coordinator of the Polytechnic, Dr Sherifat Akindele asked the Unions to send their Papers to the Management in order to fast-track resolutions to any challenges they face.
