A candidate for the post of the Student Union Government (SUG) President in Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic (AAPoly) Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State, Ajumobi Oluwatola a.k.a Quincy has said that he will bring back the lost glory of Unionism in AAPoly.

He made this disclosure recently in an interview with UCJAAPOLY in Abusi edumare annex  where he said that AAPoly's position in the guild of Student Unions has fallen beyond expectation.

Ajumobi also lamented over the poor state of welfarism in the institution.

He said "I realize the way I left the institution after my ND is the same way I met it. Nothing has improved and this is why I had to put it upon myself to stand in for the students of this institution.

"Although the past administration did very well but there are some problems that had been neglected over the years and these are the areas I find interest in.

"I have a lot of plans to push this institution forward only if you (students) can support me and believe in me. If elected, I will listen to people's opinion and know the problem the students are facing that need urgent attention," he said.

Balancing his academics with politics, he said although our primary aim is to come to school to have good academic records, he will try his best to balance school activities as a student with politics.

"I believe that with your help and support, I can achieve good governance and I promise I will fight for students till my last breath" he said.

However, he advised students to eradicate the impression that our school is completely lagging behind. He made it known that Rome was not built in a day and we should be good ambassadors of our great citadel of learning, as he encouraged all students to move out enmass on Friday, and vote for the candidate of their choice in order achieve a greater AAPoly.
