UCJAAPOLY holds maiden press day

The Union of Campus Journalist Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic, Ijebu-igbo, Ogun State (UCJAAPOLY) holds it's maiden Press day on Thursday at Abusi, the mini campus of the institution.

 The union was established May 2018 basically to educate, enlighten and inform students about happenings on campus.

The Former UCJAAPOLY Vice President Admin, Mr Olakunle Oluwafemi, lauds the executives of the union for all efforts put in place to make the day a success.

"When we started this union we believe it's going places, on behalf of the last regime, I will like to appreciate all members of this union for the job well done and I will also advise you to do more in moving the union and the institution to a greater height," he concluded.
Also speaking at the event, the former Association of Student Communicators (ASCOM) President, Mr Adeyemi Oluwadamilare, has said, "When Mr Caleb brought in this union, it was a union everyone wish to join. I am happy to see that the union is still active, being a member of the union is an added advantage to you and I will implore you to utilize the opportunity to build yourself and the union."

The president of the union, Shittu Toheeb, appreciated the invitees for honouring the call of the union, as he thanked the former VP Admin for his support and advice in moving the union forward. He also appreciated everyone for their presence at the event and encouraged all members to keep on doing their best in developing the union and also be committed to their studies.

Some activities which took place during the event included; riddles and jokes, singing, talent hunts, quiz competition among others. Bashiru emerged as the winner of the quiz competition.

The programme had in attendance all executives and members of the union.
