The Director of Science and Chairman of the student disciplinary committee, Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic, Ijebu-igbo, Ogun State, Mrs S.T Akindele, has said that she is not strict but a disciplined woman who cares to support what is right at all times.
Recently, during an interview with UCJAAPOLY in her office, she said although most students have the impression that she is strict or wicked, she is just a disciplinarian who doesn't allow things pass without giving it a balanced check.
Akindele said: "Thats my person, but I will not call that strict but disciplined. I have my intergrity to protect, that is why I don't pretend when I see things going wrong so I make sure i tackle it. Maybe because I am the Chairperson of Student Disciplinary Committee and also a custodian of student handbook; I can't see issues and pretend they are not happening. I don't care who is involved, I don't have issue with anybody, I report to my boss directly."
Speaking on the accreditation of the new courses, She expressed her gratitude to the Rector of the institution, Professor Jumoke Bilesanmi-Awoderu, who she said made financial obligations easy during the accreditation of HND SLT (microbiology option).
She therefore, advised students to be studious and focused because by the time they achieve whatever they want, they will be glad. "They say the sky is the limit but to me the sky is the beginning," she concluded.
