The former minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and President, Development Bank, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina CON has buried his father, Chief Roland Folorusho Adesina. The ceremony which had in attendance the former Nigerian Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon; former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo; former Vice President of Nigeria, Arc. Namadi Sambo; Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osibajo; former president of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama; former Governor of Lagos, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; Governor of Ogun State, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun among others started with a church service that took place at St. Mathew's Anglican cathedral, ojowo, Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State.
During the service, Dr. Akinwumi describes his father, Chief Roland as a caring, God fearing, diligent, trust worthy father who valued and sacrificed all he had for the education of his children and the child around him.
Prof. Osibajo, during his speech said " Chief Roland till his death was the oldest Igbobi college boy where I attended and he participated fully" Chief Roland Folorunsho Adesina died at age 96 and he is survived by wife, children, daughters- in-law, grand children and spouses and a great grandchild, born few days before he passed away.
